New skincare additions to my routine

Skin care additions to my routine

It’s probably no news that I love to try out new skincare every so often. It really doesn’t depend If I have to splurge, although sometimes I try very hard not to, to keep my sanity. Lol. I get a sense of fulfillment upgrading my stash to suit my skincare needs. And then again, I just love trying out skincare that have become so popular. This year, I’m deliberately building my stash once again so I added a few new ones as a kick start.

I finally bought into The Ordinary Skincare hype on the gram, and I purchased their 100% Organic Cold-pressed Rose Hip Seed oil and AHA 30% + BHA @% Peeling solutiontwo, to combat specific skin issues. I tried the Rose hip Seed Oil first, just to experience what it’s like using it alone.

The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% peeling solution and 100% Organic cold-pressed Rose Seed Hip OilFirst thing I noticed was that it was semi-thick oil and so I didn’t know quite what to expect. I used it at night and the morning after, I noticed little bump / rashes on my jaw. Days later, they eventually turned to white heads so I discontinued use. Usually I mix in my carrier oils with essentials oil so I would probably give this oil another try. This time, mixed in with Tea tree and Rosemary essential oils to dilute the oil and see if makes any difference.

I tried the AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution days later, which I’d heard is one of their best sellers. I carried out a patch test on my left cheek first because I didn’t want anything eventually burning me. Little did I know I was in for it. Using the solution really confirmed that my skin was sensitive and this is makes me more cautious using it. Asides that, I think I understand the hype behind it. Unbelievably, my skin is smoother now and I’m so happy about it.

It was exciting for me when I won the Body Shop Skin Defence Multi-protection Essence as I’d been eyeing it for a while. I mean, I also get to try out a “highly sort-after” product.Body Shop Skin Defence Multi-Protection Essence It’s a Sunscreen but I feel it can really can pass for a moisturizer. It’s lightweight which is a check for me and it smells so good. I didn’t really appreciate its price point in relation to the amount of product you get which I think is just ridiculous. So far I really like it and I’m hoping I don’t fall out of love or use.Body Shop Skin Defence Multi-protection Essence

Again, being quite popularly hyped in the Bloggersphere, I purchased the Cosrx Salicylic Acid Daily Gentle Cleanser. Also, I bought this cleanser as an introduction to the brand as I’ve been wanting to try them for a while now. Cosrx Salicylic Acid Daily Gentle Cleanser

I must say, it’s a pretty gentle cleanser with 0.5% Salicylic acid which has a citrus smell. I’m not even exactly sure if this is enough to prevent my skin from breaking out but we’ll see.

      Hi,

The cleanser is okay especially if you have mild to moderate acne. I don’t really like it as much as my Clinique cleansing foam. As for sunscreen, I’m still testing out the body shop one i just received lately and I should have a review up soon.

I'd love to hear from you!
