Tried and Loved in August

It’s been almost a year i wrote a post on products i loved. Looking through the products I’ve loved last month, i realize they are mostly Korean. While I didn’t plan this, it’s happening because the bulk of my skin care purchases have been Korean products. Anyway, in no particular order, here are the products i tried and loved in August.

I first discovered the Missha Near Skin pH Balancing Cleansing Foam on Michelle Phan’s Ig page and since i was just learning about the benefits of low pH/ pH balancing cleansers, I decided to give this a try. This cleanser is literary a sensitive girl’s dream. I know this as my skin gets irritated using harsh and drying products. Each wash literally makes me fall in love. The best part for me really is how soothing and hydrating it is, not to talk of how bright my skin looks after each use. It’s a cleanser to try if your skin is sensitive, dry or dehydrated. My skin has been so much brighter and clearer using the Cosrx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid. Just as I was thinking of purchasing this liquid exfoliant, a friend reached out to me to try out hers as her skin seems to not be enjoying it and here we are! A lot of people compare it to the Paula’s choice 2% BHA skin perfecting lotion and i honestly see why. Its skin-loving ingredients like Willow Back Water, Betaine Salicylate, Niacinamide & Hyaluronic Acid not only kept my skin looking bright but hydrated which is an excellent bonus for my dehydrated prone skin.Cosrx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid_Tried and Loved in August

I broke out mid-August so i was able to try out the Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch. Actually, I had been waiting to be able to try out the hype around this product. Lol! It was interesting finding out that asides that they are designed to suck up impurities, they are made with hydrocolloid materials which promote skin healing. The concept was quite new to me. I used it at night and I was so amazed as i woke up with my pimples decreased in size  with all the gunk soaked up on the patch. The one thing i was worried about was it falling off my skin and it adhered pretty nicely. Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch_Tried and Loved in August

I picked the Cosrx Hyaluronic Acid Hydra Power Essence as I didn’t see bloggers rave about it like they do with the Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence.  I honestly didn’t expect to be impressed by this essence. At first, i found it a bit tacky to layer on with my hands so I used cotton pads. That made me think twice about whether i wanted to continue using it but i didn’t give up. It makes my skin so plum, moist and bright, i knew i had made a good purchase. It also helps with soothing my skin. I didn’t see full effect though till a couple of uses. Best of all it has reduced my skin’s dehydration level!Cosrx Hyaluronic Acid Hydra Power Essence

Luck shone on me as I won the Clarins Satin Finish Age Defying Lipstick in a giveaway contest. The makeup junkie in me immediately fell in love. It’s gold packaging screams luxury and I love it! The shade I won, Red Fuchsia shows up brownish red in the tube but wears wine on the lips. It’s a dream how it moisturizes and then it’s fruity smell is something to fall in love too. Clarins Rouge Eclat Satin Finish Age Defying Lipstick
