New in Skin care

Long time, no post!!! I don’t even want to come here to explain why though. I’ve been on Instagram a lot though so you can catch me on there.

Anyway, It’s been a long while I did one of these, and I thought to update you guys on some of the new / newly purchased skin care products in my routine.

Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm; After I had finished my Heimish All Clean balm, I really wanted to try other cleansing balms. I had my eye on the Farmacy Green Clean Balm but when I thought about paying £32 for it, I gave up! I asked on IG and a few people asked me to get this! It’s been so far so good anyway. It’s a fragrance-free and melts on contact with the skin and also a great option for double-cleansing. A lot of people have said this is a dupe for the Heimish balm and I hope to do a review comparing both in due time.New In Skincare

Ambi Even & Clear Foaming Cleanser; Well, I purchased this cleanser because I was missing it a lot in my routine. It’s a foaming cleanser that comes out as a lather straight from the tube. One of the things I really enjoyed about this cleanser is how much brighter and smoother it made my skin apart from the 0.5% Salicylic acid. I’ve seen my skin improve in just a week!

Secret Key Aloe Soothing Moist Toner; Thanks to Gothamista, I decided to try out this toner, basically just to test out something other than my usual Klairs. This is a toner that really grew on me. At first, I didn’t like it at all but now I think it’s a pretty decent toner. It has a texture that is slightly thicker than water and a slight flowery fragrance. I appreciate that this toner doesn’t contain alcohol. If you’ve used the Klairs toner, this one will not wow you. It’s not as hydrating as the Klairs but it definitely hydrates, soothes & refreshes the skin with continual use.

Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence; I honestly had this a long time coming as I was so interested in the Essence that the whole skincare community of IG raved about. It was a bit hard too selecting this as I also wanted to try the Missha Time revolution Essence. I eventually settled for this and I do not regret this.  I actually really love its gluey, slimy texture and my skin feels so smooth and bouncy after using it. And my dehydrated skin has greatly improved. Even when I don’t use it every day, my skin doesn’t experience dehydration. The star ingredient is 96% Snail mucin which deeply hydrates the skin. In case you were wondering, I love this more than the Cosrx Hyaluronic Acid Hydra Power Essence. This essence absolutely has my heart!

Benton Shea Butter and Coconut Body Lotion*: There’s isn’t much to say yet about this lotion except that I was sent to review and I just started using it. Never have I tried a lotion with 5 types of Hyaluronic acid in it so I was curious. Benton says it’s an all-over lotion and can be used on the face too. Will I test this out? Just maybe. Meanwhile, I also love how ‘coconutty” it smells and the neon tube is a delight to behold. I should have a full review soon!

Cosrx Shield Fit Snail Essence sun SPF 50+ & Shield Fit All Green Comfort Sun SPF 50+; I was super excited when Cosrx launched these sunscreens last month. Partly because I had almost run out of my old one and because I curate products on my k-beauty store. The Yellow one is a chemical sunscreen with snail mucin while the green is a 100% mineral sunscreen with Centella Asiatica. I’ve heard people say that mineral sunscreens leave a white cast and I really should have been wary. The All Green Comfort Sun issa no for me as it leaves a horrible blue cast which fades though after a while. The Snail Essence Sun seems to be a better option for brown skin girls and I hope to give a better review in a few weeks.Cosrx Shield Fit Snail Essence sun SPF 50+ & Shield Fit All Green Comfort Sun SPF 50+

ByWishtrend Clear Skin Shield Patch; Doesn’t this remind you of the Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch? Yep, By Wishtrend, a k-beauty brand also made theirs. Also hydrocolloid, with 36 patches in 2 sizes. These are quite clear and clearer than the Cosrx’s on dark skin. ByWishtrend says they contain ‘hydrocolloid to protect the skin from external contamination of water, dust and physical touch.’ In fact, patches were made for me because I can touch my pimples for Africa ehn!!! Lol. They also mention being ‘thin and breathable.’ I can’t totally decide which I like better but soon enough, I would.

Items starred were not purchased but gifted to me by the brand for review purposes.
